Coffs Harbour Woolgoolga

Marlowe House is a private and secluded beach house set on 12 acres of beachfront land with spectacular views. It is situated on the waterfront in Woolgoolga, a coastal town 17km north of Coffs Harbour. Just stroll down the property walk through a small enchanted forest up a dune and there you stand under a very old banksia tree, looking down onto your own 2 mile beach.

Marlowe House was built in 2002. It is made from New South Wales Spotty Gum, a farmed timber, and is based on a classic Australian ‘Queenslander’ design. The house boasts 10,000 sq metres and is surrounded by freely roaming wildlife including a family of over 30 kangaroos, on secluded national park land. The sun rises over the ocean, so you can enjoy a morning coffee on one of the 4m verandahs that surround the house. You can cook dinner in the charming Italian Style kitchen that is fully loaded with all the mod cons along with a steam oven and a deep fryer, cook up a feast whilst watching the sun through the kitchen windows set over the mountains.

There is a formal living room, “the reading room” with a pool table, a lovely place to be day or night for a feisty game of pool or sitting quietly. Off the reading room is a very comfortable living room with 12ft couches and a 12ft screen with Sony digital projector. There is also a fantastic downstairs living area with day beds and a ping pong table, and an outdoor dining area with full size BBQ, wood burn pizza oven and fire-place for after dinner marshmallows. This area is ideal for a wedding, special parties and events.

There are 7 bedrooms in total. Bedroom 1 & 2 are ocean facing with direct access onto the verandah. They share a spacious bathroom which has a jacuzzi & steam room. Bedroom 3 also faces the ocean and has its own living room with verandah access. Bedroom 4 has a queen bed and is adjoined by a children’s room with 1 double bed. The childrens room has a play area, plus an art area with its own sink. Bedrooms 3, 4 & 5 are separated by a big bathroom with 2 sinks, a sunken in kohler bath Jacuzzi and a separate steam room / shower. Bedrooms 6 & 7 are loft rooms with ensuites and downstairs sitting areas. Four of the seven bedrooms have their own TV’s.

The rumpus room down stairs has a bar with industrial fridge, bathroom and 2 large couches. This area is also used for events as it is on the ground floor and opens directly to the land. If you’re into fishing, there is an island just off the coast directly in-front of the house which you can walk to a low tide and throw a line in. We recommend arriving with a 4WD so you can make the most of being able to drive on the beach and explore the coastline.

PEAK SEASON
New Year’s & Christmas - $1,500 per night, 7 night minimum
Easter & School Holidays - $1,500 per night or $9,000 per week, 4 night minimum
Long Weekends - $1,250 per night or $6,500 per week, 3 night minimum

STANDARD RATES
$1,000 per night or $6,500 per week, 2 night minimum
If you’re group is 8 people or less we can open 4 bedrooms only, the rate is $750 per night, 3 night minimum
This is only available during standard season dates

All bookings have an additional $300 cleaning fee.
