Situated on the magnificent pristine coastline just east of Albany, Maitraya is unquestionably one of Australia’s finest private retreats. The property offers outstanding facilities for leisure pursuits as well as business activities. Located on 130 hectares of grounds by the Southern Ocean, Maitraya enjoys amazing views of the adjacent coast, islands and mountains. It is truly a very special place.

Maitraya is an unrivalled choice of location for any sort of getaway. The residence incorporates formal and informal areas. There are eight spacious double bedrooms with king or two king single beds, 7 bathrooms, indoor heated pool, spa, sauna and large central glass-roofed atrium. There is also a quaint Airstrip Cottage with an additional 2 bedrooms which can accommodate up to 5 guests.
On the grounds there is a tennis court, cricket net, small cricket and football ground, sporting equipment including boards and windsurfers, access to a safe swimming lagoon and local surfing beach, sealed 900m private airstrip and helicopter pad. The choices are endless, with the different areas of the house linked by a wonderful wide gallery. The home is centrally heated, however all the main living areas have beautiful open fireplaces (6 in all) ensuring not only comfort but a luxurious ambience on wintry Albany nights.
The Great Southern region offers a wide variety of attractions and we would recommend guests take time for visiting some of the excellent wineries and restaurants in and around neighbouring Albany, Denmark and Mt Barker, the historic Whale World exhibition, and the excellent eco tour of the estuary out of Walpole.
