Magari Estates is an ultra-exclusive boutique members club located in the heart of the Illasi Valley in the province of Verona in Italy’s north.
The founders of the Pellegrino development company and the Italian winemaking Fasoli family are partners in this rather unique offering.
Together their vision was to fuse their remarkable Italian heritage family traditions and the country’s rich arts, architecture, literature, cuisine,
wines and music culture to offer exclusive localised experiences in the Veneto region.
The result is undoubtedly a hospitality game changer.
Named after the Italian word for “If only”, Magari Estates is centred around a meticulously restored 16th century villa and represents the very best of indulgence – combining high-end accommodation, dining and full service health spa options with a bespoke concierge service and bountiful tailored itineraries, each of which is individually curated.
Located around 90 kilometres west of the World Heritage city of Venice, a short 15 kilometre drive east of Verona on the edge of the Adige River and within easy access of Lake Garda, Milan, Padua and Vicenza, Magari Estates itself is a grand property of unparalleled luxury.
The opulent resort sits on a parcel of land in a vast sea of undulating green valleys and hills. Surrounded by an epic organic vineyard, it lies at the core of a host of historical townships with the delizioso Asolo, the eccellente Bassano del Grappa and magnifico Castelfranco among them.
Upon entering the hallowed turf guests find themselves swept up in a setting the estate’s proud owners are confident will exceed each and every expectation.
The Magari experience begins the minute guests land on Italian soil. Guests are met at Venice airport and then chauffeur driven through stunning countryside to the estate.
Dotted with ancient vines and established gardens, the entrance to the property is closely monitored with only the finite number of pre-approved members able to venture past the estate’s front gate.
It is here guests will see the trio of stone-wall buildings that form the nucleus of the estate.
Formerly home to a nobleman, the architects responsible for developing the space have clearly been influenced by the spectacular countryside beyond but have worked hard to maintain the buildings’ integrity and proved sensitive in their use of colour.
Aged timber ceilings effortlessly combine with contemporary fixtures and fittings to private living spaces sure to please even the most fastidious of guests.
The very epitome of refined modern luxury, rooms at the estate feature every comfort and are light and airy. The design of each oversize suite on the property aims to respect the environment but has been structured to maximise the countryside vistas outside.
A full service health spa with a large indoor outdoor freshwater pool completes the estate’s facilities. Upon registering interest the club will notify eligible applicants of their successful registration. Membership packages vary in size and allow for stays of between seven and 28 days each year.
Joining fee prices start at $US50,000 which is a one off-payment to secure a 20-year membership term.
For the cost of their membership, guests receive exclusive accommodation at the property, spa treatments at the member’s spa on site and an annual wine allocation of between 12 and 48 bottles of wines that are produced exclusively for members.
In addition, each guest is able to access exclusive tailored experiences provided by the onsite concierge, experiences that have been cultivated from the unique relationships the owners have developed with wineries, restaurants and other retail and hospitality businesses in the area.
The experiences included in the packages vary from guest to guest according to their interests, but examples may include a night enjoying a world-class opera from the comfort of a private balcony at the Teatro all Scala through to provision for a private tour of Venice’s Ducal Palace.
Magari Estates offers it members the flexibility to travel every two years to the estate at the members election.
Proving it is more than just a beautiful spot in which to rest your head, Magari even has its own smartphone app offering direct communication with the concierge as well as a host of recommendations for activities that will enhance your stay.
